At Smedegaard Pumps Limited we are continuously working to improve our product ranges. The results of this are clear to see with the recent launch of our new technologically advanced and highly efficient Magneta range of circulating pumps.
Now the latest success at Smedegaard is the award of WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) certification 1312078 to our tried and tested EXEFLEXX range of cold water booster sets. It is important to note that rigorous mechanical testing was carried out for this approval to be granted ensuring that these complete booster sets comply with various strict byelaw regulations & requirements as they currently exist in the UK today. It is worthy of note that this certification has been awarded for the complete booster set assemblies not just for the component parts.
The EXE range now includes such features as single outlet manifolds to eliminate any dead-ends and the use of flow-through vessels throughout the entire range.
Furthermore, included in the same certification are the EXEDOL direct on line cold water booster sets and EXETRAN water transfer booster sets.
The ExeFlexx range of cold water booster sets utilise the quality HIL multistage pumps with a factory mounted inverter drive unit fitted to each pump. The speed of each pump is varied by means of the pump mounted frequency inverter, enabling the pumps to operate in a cascade system. The control of each pump is via a pressure transducer installed in the discharge flow manifold. This relays a 4-20 mA signal to the inverter to vary the motor speed. The ExeFlexx has ranges available with both 2 pole (2900 RPM) and 4 pole (1450 RPM) pumps.
The ExeFlexx is suitable for use with BMS systems, all units incorporate high/low pressure alarm, dry run protection, auto change-over, fault history, protection against high/low voltage, over current, current surge, inverter overheat, output wire disconnection, communication error. On-off and low water volt free contacts are standard on all booster sets. Fault alarm volt free contacts are standard on all three phase sets.
The inverters can be integrated to check on a wide range of parameters including the total accumulated power consumption, the core temperature of the drive and the ambient temperature at the drive.
